What are the lifestyle opportunities in and around Augusta, Maine. Are there hiking clubs, biking trails, civic clubs, golf clubs, local arts and theater, lakes, streams, fishing, boating, camping or other types of lifestyle opportunities?

Hey, just wanted to let you know of an upcoming opportunity to connect with others who have the same interests as you. If you like to walk, hike or jog, this is for you. WalkStyles, Inc. is bringing its national WeWhoWalk Tour to Augusta on Friday, Aug. 17, from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The WeWhoWalk Tour promoting community and wellness through walking is visiting all 50 state capitals in 50 weeks.
Sue Parks, WalkStyles CEO and tour director, will lead a 5-mile walk on a safe and scenic route that highlights Augusta. It’s free to participate (and receive a free t-shirt and light breakfast), but to do so you must register for a free membership at www.walkstyles.com by Aug. 16. The tour to promote community and wellness is in relation to the recently re-designed WalkStyles’ website, www.walkstyles.com, which is a free social networking site designed to connect walkers and those who want to live a life of wellness through walking.
If you love to walk and want to meet new people, become a free member on www.walkstyles.com (which automatically registers you for the walk), grab your walking shoes and meet up at the Best Western Senator Inn on Friday at 7:30 a.m.
